Naija Lingo, Nigeria’s Online Slang Dictionary for Pidgin Words has just launched a forum for its members to discuss anything around naija slangs.

Naija Lingo is a new Web 2.0 site where you can discover Nigerian slangs and Pidgin English via an online dictionary for people who want definitions to Nigerian words or slangs, names and phrases, etc created by the people who know these slangs.

With this forum, Naija Lingo members can discuss anything within four categories, namely:

• General - where people can talk about anything they are interested in, from world news to local gossip.
• Naija Talk - which is about things happening in Nigeria or Nigerian related information.
• Nigerian Pidgin English Words - where people can discuss the words on the site or
  even words outside the site; get people’s opinions on what they mean. It’s also a good place to ask about a word that is not on the site which you need its definition.
• Using Naija Lingo - where you can talk about the site (Naija Lingo); what you like about it and what you may not like as well as suggestions on improvements.

Naija Lingo currently has about 450 unique words contributed by over 100 “lexibutors”, as contributors of words are called on the site. In my opinion, this site is growing and has a reasonable traffic and would be one of the best Web 2.0 products that is bringing people together in Nigeria and around the world.
