StartupsNigeria: Nigerian Bloggers for Blog Day 2008
Today, bloggers around the world are celebrating Blog Day 2008 - a day dedicated to getting to know other bloggers from other countries and areas of interest. All over the world, bloggers will recommend 5 blogs to their blog visitors.
So as part of this year’s Blog Day, I am recommending 5 Nigerian blogs that I read and find interesting. You can tell us your opinion about these blogs.
Here they are:
Also known as The Nigerian Entrepreneur, this blog written by Tony provides entrepreneurship advice to web-savvy readers. The blog has grown to become one of the greatest resource on web entrepreneurship.
Perhaps the most popular blog on fashion and entertainment in Nigeria, this blog has inspired a lot of female bloggers in Nigeria to start their own blogs. The site has a pink interface (which makes it look very girly), although the blog has attracted so many male fans…like me…haha!
is a personal website of Oluniyi David Ajao, an online entrepreneur involved in domain name registration, website development/hosting and online publishing. He manages a blog about web hosting and writes on web hosting/development solutions.
is a weblog that provides relevant and up-to-date information to everyone interested in starting and managing their businesses or those who want to make the best of their current career and/or job. The blog, written by Emmanuel Olutosin challenges people to move from words to actions. The blog features articles of fellow entrepreneurs and successful career people, how-to instructional articles as well as news and information from the business world.
is a blog that provides daily motivation and development for people and organisations. The blog is managed by Adeolu Akinyemi, one of Nigeria’s foremost brands in People and Organizational Development, People Systems Development, Network Marketing and Blogging.
Happy Blog Day to all!

[...] It is in this spirit that Loy Okezie of StartsUpNigeria.com recommended my personal self-named blog “Oluniyi David Ajao” as one of the 5 Nigerian blogs he monitors regularly and enjoys reading. See: StartupsNigeria: Nigerian Bloggers for Blog Day 2008 [...]
Thanks pal for the generous compliment. Have a wonderful celebration and thanks for the reminder. Cheers.
Hey bro,
Your blog stand out among many naija blogs, i also have a blog but never have the time to make it look great as yours.
I’m a part time webmaster; well done.
Kunle - Thanks brother! All the best with your blog:-)
Your blog is cool.
@Aloofar - Thanks!
Please, lets move on to good subject matter, and things of substance. Ibelieve it takes more than the starting of a blog site, it is better to bring together a number of friends and colleagues to sustain an online journal; plese, dont kill a good idea by doing the Nigerian thing that kills every such good and lofty idea.
@Loy,
You are doing a great job. Keep it up
Just seeing this… thanks..
