Re: Use Article Directory & Submit Your Blog to Blog Directories

The backlinks from blog directories should be combined with the backlinks from the articles submitted to article directories (on topics closely related to your blog’s most important keywords).

A properly developed backlink program will deliver far more targeted traffic to your blog due to its impact on the search engines than due to the actual directory links themselves.

A regular schedule of submitting to 3-5 blog directories PER DAY should be followed.

I maintain a list of The Top 101 Blog Directories & RSS Submission Sites on my blog at:

    Blog Directories

Since I update this list weekly there are now 320 entries listed with NO DEAD LINKS.

    Best of success,

    Robert A. Kearse

Good list, you can add “yahoo answers” and “digg” and such sites to the list. Also for those who are interested in banner exchange, I recommend you to take a look at http://www.admatchup.com. They provide free banner advertisement through its members advertising for each other. Its free, easy to join, and works smoothly.

    Cheers,

Another sure way for Nigerians to drive traffic to their blog or website is by getting it to the front page of http://www.sturvs.com . Thats a fact. This will also help with SEO.

Hey Loy, you are such a darling. I didn’t even realized you have done a review on me here. I just followed your link from the comment you posted on blog to reciprocate with a comment “like I always do” and discovered this. You have a great blog here, please keep up the wow job.

By the way, I might have beat you to write my ebook on blogging, we certainly need the angle you will bring to it. So, please find a way to write something. We need more information on blogging in Nigeria, with speed at which blogging is evolving, we can afford to be left behind.

    Cheers!

For all the tips and tricks, I still think quality comments trumps everything else.

Sure there are lots of good blogs out there, that nobody is reading (and that will always be the case).

But building up niche content will take you a hell of a long way. I think one of the problems though is that some bloggers spend a lot of time expunging their views on the world and believing it is quality content - that is not necessarily the case.

Sure - one or two may be interested in what you have to say - but if you want quality content that appeals to a big chunk of the market then you have to write credible content that reaches that market.

Bloggers sometimes get a little wrapped up in their own worlds and opinions and then wonder why only a handful of readers find their story interesting…

Dunno - just something to bear in mind

@Chris - Like Afrigator’s jingle…”Africa is talking about Social Media”, so no African country should be left out.

And Chris, that’s some cool cash you’re donating to the bloggers blake off challenge. And congratulations for winning the SA Blog Award for ‘The Best Technology Blog’ category;-)

@Marc - You’re absolutely right! I acknowledge my omission of quality comments. Thanks for your quality comment too:-)

@Loy AdMatchup.com is promoting free banner exchange at the time. As part of the future plan they would let you to sell some percentage of your banner exchange traffic (up to 50% probably). However, no one is blocking you from selling your banner exchange (e.g. you can register your website, but upload a banner and target URL of someone who is paying you). This way you are promoting their website, product, whatever, on multiple other websites using your traffic as a banner exchange. As I said, AdMatchup.com is promoting free banner exchange services for common good, and will have more features for members to advertise for multiple people, sell their traffic, or more. Hope you join! Cheers,
