MapNTL.com Launches Nigerian Online Ads Network (NOAN)

MapNTL, Nigeria’s version of Google Maps has launched an online ad network that allows members to join, host ads and get paid. MapNTL.com provides online local and brand advertisers with an interactive medium for delivering geo-targeted and contextual display ads to a large, actively engaged user community.
NOAN is a network of large and growing number of Nigerian focused websites comprising some 20 websites from Nigeria and abroad that engage millions of Nigerian consumers every day across the most popular online categories including: Banking, Technology, Hospitality, Restaurant, Travel, Finance, News, Automotive, Real Estate, Education, Women’s Lifestyle, Sports and others. NOAN members advertise each other’s banners to promote their services mutually and equitably. You can join the Facebook community here.
With NOAN, advertisers will therefore spend less time trying to find the right publishers to serve their online ads, and more time focused on perfecting their pitch to potential customers. This means that any ad appearing in any of the affiliated website appears on all members’ websites which results in more web exposure for advertisers.
The idea of the ad network is to expose Nigerian-focused companies and start-up businesses as well as local content on the Internet instead of the usual Google ads that advertises foreign brands on Nigerian websites as well as products and services in US Dollars or Pound Sterlings. Thus, with the launch of the Nigerian Online Ad Network, there would be local ad networks advertising Nigerian companies in all industries as well as products and services in Naira.
How Does It Work?
As a member of the ads network, if you enter into an agreement with UAC to host Mr Biggs banner on your website, this means that other members in the ad network must host Mr Biggs banner for FREE on their own websites on your behalf for a period one month.
That way, Mr Biggs enjoys maximum visibility on all members’ websites for an initial period of 1 month. At the expiration of the 1 month period, you can then enter into a personal agreement with other members in the network to continue to host the Ads on their website for a fee.
Unlike other ad networks, MapNTL offers free membership to join the ad network. MapNTL’s Ads Network is a network of Nigerian Ads providers with a special emphasis on local and contextual adverts designed to benefit Nigerian businesses and consumers. At the moment, several providers have signed up for this network, and I’m proud to say that StartupsNigeria has already signed up as a member of this ad network.
Ad network marketing is the most efficient and effective way to reach the largest and most targeted online audience with the least amount of expense and effort. For as little as 20, 000 (NGN) a banner can be placed on over 20 websites reaching millions of Nigerians within minutes.
Anthony Lawrence, who is MapNTL.com’s Business Development Manager, says, “If your company’s goal is to effectively market its products and services online in Nigeria, NOAN is the ultimate solution. NOAN’s online marketing specialists will work closely with you to identify your target audience, design engaging and creative ad banners and efficiently launch your online campaign across the Nigerian Online Ads Network.”
NOAN’s next-generation optimisation technology uses intelligent algorithms developed by statisticians and behavioural scientists to serve ads across the NOAN where they receive the highest performance results. And with NOAN’s leading optimisation and campaign management technology, advertisers can be confident that their ads are being served at the right time and on publishers that produce the best results.
MapNTL.com is owned by Spatial Technologies Ltd and is currently looking to partner with online adverts providers to create Nigeria’s largest Ads Network. For more details about the ads network, click here.

I submitted for free classifieds for Nigeria
@Bongiwe - Thanks for dropping by. I’m wondering how your comments relate to the post here. Just wondering…
Hey Loy, am glad someone had finally noticed this attack of foreign based adverts on the Nigerian public websites. I was really scadalised to see T-Mobile ads offering 700 minutes & 700 sms for £30 a month running on Punch and Guardian newpaper websites!!! I mean, how can this type of ad benefit Nigeria and even T-mobile itself? What is stopping the likes of MTN, Glo, Zain, Starcomms taking advantage of Nigerian increasing presence on the internet? Zenith Bank, UBA, etc can place ad banners on Nigerian based websites with links to their respective websites to reach the several millions of Nigerians who go online everyday. This mapntl.com’s collaborative online ads venture couldn’t have come at a better time. How can one join Loy?
Joy - You’re very correct. That’s the idea NOAN is trying to change. You can join by emailing Anthony - anthony.lawrence at mapntl dot com
