Naijapals Suspends User Indefinitely For Impersonation

Naijapals, the leading social networking site in Nigeria has suspended the user account of Profile ‘Impersonator’ Chinwenduu.

According to Naijapals,

Profile impersonator “chinwenduu” is now indefinitly suspended from the Naijapals community for gross disregard for the Naijapals “Terms of service”.

The user has repeatedly ignored warnings from the Naijapals admin after creating fake profiles with names such as shaniqua, shanique1 and recently mushabcd. The user has created over 30 Naijapals account in total for purpose unknown to the administrators.

Naija Bloggers Award 2009 - Who You Be?

This week, the Naija Bloggers Award was launched with the theme: Who You Be? and nominations have already commenced. Hmm, so quick??? 

Nominations started from Tuesday, February 24th until Wednesday, March 5th to nominate bloggers for Category A. After that, the nominees for each category and voting for category A will begin.

The 2009 Naija Bloggers Award is being organized by Sting, Toluwa, Naijagirl, and the now retired Geisha.

WebTrendsNg.com - Keep Track of Web Trends in Nigeria

WebTrendsNg.com is a new web analysis website that allows you to keep tab of happenings on the internet as it relates to Nigeria. The idea is to make understanding and usage of the internet in Nigeria more beneficial for business decision and planning.

The site recently started a survey tagged Nigerian Internet Usage Survey to know how Nigerians use the internet and what they do. The survey relies on a poll to get votes from users on the different categories. While this is a good approach, it might not prove very effective, since there’s no web analysis tool to measure Internet Usage in Nigeria.

However, I think it could help businesses in Nigeria determine where and when they should spend their money on online ads, as Nigerians become more aware of online advertising media platforms.
