You guyz did not Include Kayode Ogundamisi ( Most hit political blogspot on Face-Book) You must be kidding, Sokari your are right, I sourced Ogundamisi's facebook blogpage from a western Media friend and its been a daily tonic. Amazed at the interactive nature and the rapid influence its gaining in Diaspora, someone would want to study it as a new form of political engineering. I think the orgerniser'/s need to do something better next time if you want to gain credibilty. Bellanijer is Cool, and u all missed out on Swandak, Gosh. Do u blogspot at all? or just some friends coming together to give awards?

PS I also forgot to mention why was there not a "technology" category? This seems to me to be a very unfortunate omission on the part of the organisers.

I have to agree with your overall perspective on the awards. I also question how the list of bloggers was devised. Judging from the awards blog and their list of "Citizens" there are some excellent and consistent Nigerian bloggers not even listed and I unashamedly include myself in that list along with Oro, Timbuktu Chronicles, Grandiose Parlor, Chxta and Kayode Ogundamisi (blogs on Facebook). Nonetheless, Nigerian Curiosity and SolomonSysdelle most deservedly won both Bloggers Choice and Best Political blog - her writing stands tall amongst African bloggers let alone Nigerian ones. I also was happy to see The Activist win though disappointed that it was her theme rather than the excellent and daring content of her blog was recognised. Finally it is unclear who organised these awards and I believe something like this it should be open and transparent as to who is organising the awards.
