Today we showcase MTech, a Nigerian technology firm providing first class services in data communications, focusing on mobile applications technology, using existing GSM networks and state-of-the-art mobile technology. 

Founded by a group of young and innovative Nigerians, MTech commenced operations in August 2001, with 15 members of staff and launched its first product, MLife Service, in February 2002, to keep GSM subscribers connected to vital information necessary for their businesses and personal lives.

MCAST is the bulk messaging service of Shout Interactive, an MTech Communication Enterprise. We provide end to end Interactive Mobile and Web Based digital advertising services. Employing an array of advanced marketing technologies and relationships with telecom operators and providers. Shout Interactive offers cost effective solutions for product/market campaigns, Loyalty programs, CRM and various new levels of experiential marketing. The MCAST platform provides a user friendly, Short Messaging Services for individuals and corporate organizations. It offers customers a secure, dependable, high capacity messaging platform.

E-Newsletter (Vibeweekly)

Vibeweekly is a weekly entertainment magazine that aims at informing on events in the Nigerian and Global entertainment worlds, delivered directly to subscribers e-mail box via MTech’s bulk e-mail platform.

Vibedownloads is a Mobile Phone Interactive Entertainment Platform. It is the first private branded mobile phone entertainment service in Nigeria. With the growing need for GSM subscribers to have real-time access to information and entertainment, it became imperative to come up with a concept for mobile info-tainment at the fingertips of every subscriber.

MTech communications the biggest player in the Value Added Service market in Nigeria was recognized with the best value added service award at the Nigerian Telecoms award. MTech was also awarded for her unparallel support for small business with its MCast mobile marketing tool by D’Talk shop in 2008.

My Favourite

I like the MTech MLife service which allows you to connect to the Internet via WAP on your GSM network with CSD support. You can use it with MTN and Glo, not sure if other networks are compatible. However, I think its a bit expensive which is about 40-50 naira per minute for browsing on the internet.
